PHARMRx IS A COMPANY SPECIALIZED IN THE COLLECTION AND PROCESSING OF CLINICAL DATA.
According to the regulations in Europe, Pharmacovigilance i.e. Post Marketing Surveillance (PMS), is a must for newly registered products. Pharmaceutical companies are obliged to set-up a system for recording such data and have to report on the data collected on a regular base.
However, the collection of such data may be a burden for the organization of the company, involving the sales-force, marketing department and medical department.
Traditionally, data are collected on paper designed Case Report Forms (CRFs), from which costly, manual (double)
data-entry may be performed.
In PMS projects data are usually incomplete, contain errors, unreadable text etc. Query-resolution is virtually impossible due to the time-lag between collection of the paper CRFs and the actual data-entry. The following analysis of the data is complicated therefore.
With the availability of CRFNow! most of the problems in this area may be solved.
